Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 24 pieces ladyfinger cookies Can substitute with sponge cake or graham crackers.
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled For soaking the ladyfingers.
For the Cream Mixture
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese Can use cream cheese as a substitute.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Chilled for better whipping.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar To taste, adjust for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavoring.
For Assembly
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced Add more for garnish if desired.
  • Cocoa powder For dusting before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
  3. Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee for a second, then layer them in a serving dish.
  4. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with additional strawberries.

Notes

This dessert can be made a day ahead for best results. Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
