Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup burrata cheese Can substitute with mozzarella if burrata is unavailable.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin, if preferred.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Pre-minced option available.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust according to spice tolerance.
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (14 oz) San Marzano recommended.
  • to taste salt and pepper Use sea salt for a fancy touch.
  • to taste fresh basil For garnish. Can substitute with parsley.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the rigatoni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce and toss to combine.
  2. Remove from heat and gently add the burrata cheese. Let it melt slightly.
Serving
  1. Serve warm garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Cooking is meant to be enjoyable! Adding Parmesan on top is optional but adds flavor. For more spice, consider jalapeños, but add with caution. A non-stick skillet is recommended for ease of cooking and cleanup.
