Ingredients

For the tea
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea bags Use any brand, like Lipton.
  • 1 cup sugar (optional) Adjust to sweet preference.
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced Use very ripe peaches for best flavor.
  • Ice cubes For serving.
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional) Adds freshness; optional for presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in sugar while the tea is still warm if desired.
  4. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.
  5. Blend the sliced peaches until smooth.
  6. In a pitcher, combine the chilled tea with the peach puree.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Do not rush the cooling process. A good blender is key for peach puree. This tea pairs well with spicy fried chicken or BBQ. Enjoy it with friends and family!
