Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is nice and soft for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese You can swap for another cheese, like pepper jack, for added heat.
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional if making for children or non-adventurous eaters.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Can swap out for sunflower seeds if nut-free.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crushed pineapple, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  3. Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans or walnuts to coat.
Serving
  1. Serve with crackers or sliced vegetables on a platter.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3–5 days. Can be frozen for longer storage; just wrap tightly and thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
