Crumble Topping
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed Provides a slight molasses flavor.
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour Basic pantry staple.
  • cup quick oats Needed for a crunchy topping.
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon Adds warmth to the dish.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Sea salt or regular salt.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened Do not melt; just soften.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a 9×9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Pour the drained peaches into the bottom of the pan in an even layer and set aside.
Mix Topping
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  2. Add the softened butter and work it into the mixture until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Pour the crumble mixture over the peaches in an even layer.
  2. Bake for 25 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven, serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes
