  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets (Skin-on) Skin-on holds together better during cooking.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Adjust the amount based on garlic preference.
  • 1 whole Lemon Fresh lemon preferred for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dill (fresh) Dried dill can be used if fresh is unavailable.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Sea salt recommended for better taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly cracked pepper is recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin for a fancy touch, regular is fine too.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and check for bones.
Seasoning
  1. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and sprinkle with garlic, salt, pepper, and dill.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, being careful not to use too much.
Baking
  1. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Finishing Touch
  1. Take the salmon out of the oven and let it sit for a minute.
  2. Squeeze more lemon juice on top before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve the salmon with roasted veggies or a fresh salad.

Notes

This recipe is versatile; you can substitute dill with parsley or Italian seasoning. If you have leftovers, flake them on a salad or mix them into a pasta dish.
