Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a large baking dish to coat the bottom.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the ricotta sit at room temperature for better mixing. Spread this mixture over the ravioli.
- Add another layer of marinara sauce over the ricotta.
- Layer the remaining ravioli on top.
- Top with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
Using a non-stick baking dish makes cleanup easier. Consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach for variation. Don't worry about presentation; focus on the taste!
