Method
Prepare the Sauce
- Combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously.
- Once boiling, lower the temperature to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Remove 1/2 cup of the sauce for dipping later.
Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat your oven to 250°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Salt and pepper both sides of the ribs.
- Brush both sides of the ribs with the prepared BBQ sauce.
- Place the ribs in the oven and flip them every 30-45 minutes, brushing with more sauce.
- Cook for about 3.5 to 4 hours.
Final Cooking Touch
- Once tender and sticky, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest before serving.
Notes
For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the ribs for tenderness (about 190°F). Leftovers reheat beautifully in a warm oven. Pair with coleslaw and cornbread for a perfect meal.
