Ingredients
  

Shells and Base
  • 8 pieces Tostada shells Crispy and ready to be topped.
  • 1 can Refried beans Canned for convenience or homemade.
  • 1 lb Ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
Toppings
  • 2 cups Lettuce Shredded.
  • 2 medium Tomatoes Diced.
  • 1 cup Cheese Shredded, any type you prefer.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream For creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup Salsa For added flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Jalapenos Diced, adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven and bake tostada shells according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season as desired.
  3. Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada shell.
  4. Top with cooked ground beef.
  5. Add lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos as toppings.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, toast your tostada shells in a bit of oil. You can prepare toppings in advance and store them separately until serving.
