Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder Ensure it's fresh for the best rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
For Serving
  • Maple syrup Use real maple syrup for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; some lumps are okay.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  3. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with maple syrup.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze for longer storage. Make sure pancakes are cool before storing.
