Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, sweetener, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the applesauce, egg, and melted coconut oil until blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix until a sticky dough forms. Adjust with water if too dry.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough into bite-sized pieces or little logs.
Cooking
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange churro bites in a single layer.
- Air fry the bites for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and firm.
- While cooking, mix additional cinnamon and sweetener in a bowl for coating.
- Toss churro bites in the cinnamon-sweetener mix while they’re still warm and serve.
Notes
Add more almond flour or applesauce for consistency if needed. Watch the air fryer closely as cooking times can vary.
