- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Once the beef is no longer pink, remove it from the skillet and drain the excess grease.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, stirring and cooking for about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Let it cook for about 5-10 minutes until it thickens to your liking.
- Stir in the sour cream until well combined; do not allow it to boil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice, optionally garnished with parsley.
Notes
Use a good skillet for easier cleanup. Leftovers can be reheated with a splash of broth for creaminess. Feel free to experiment with the ingredient variations.
