Preparation

Cooking
- Add the lentils, turmeric, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir well.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
- If it gets too thick during cooking, add a splash of water.
Finishing Touches
- Stir in the lemon juice and fresh herbs before serving.
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
Notes
This soup is wonderful with crusty bread or a light salad. Add a dollop of yogurt for extra creaminess.
