  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • to taste none Salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat (if using).
  2. Add the rice and stir for a minute until it is lightly toasted.
  3. Add the chicken broth, turmeric, and salt.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover.
  5. Cook for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff with a fork and serve with your choice of chicken, pork, seafood, or veggies.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider using homemade broth and tasting for seasoning before serving. Keep it covered while resting for a fluffier texture.
