  1. In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Drain excess fat and add chopped onions and bell peppers. Cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick but still a bit juicy.
  5. Serve the mixture on toasted hamburger buns.
