  • 8 ounces pasta Choose your favorite, rotini is recommended for sauce adherence.
  • 1 pound lean ground beef 90% lean recommended for flavor without too much fat.
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream Don't skimp; it makes a significant difference.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mix of cheddar and mozzarella is suggested.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin if preferred.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh is best.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Sea salt recommended.
Garnish
  • to taste Parmesan cheese For serving.
  • to taste Fresh parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, and drain the excess fat.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese. Mix until the cheese has melted and creates a smooth sauce.
Combining and Serving
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the beef and sauce.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

A good skillet helps with browning beef. You can substitute chicken or turkey and add in vegetables like bell peppers or spinach if desired.
