  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the cocoa powder and mix until well combined.
  3. Sift in the powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract; beat until smooth and spreadable.
  5. Spread over cooled brownies and let set before serving.

Notes

For a smoother frosting, sift powdered sugar. If the frosting is too thick, add a little extra milk cautiously.
