Ingredients
  

Pizza Base
  • 1 piece pizza dough Store-bought or homemade.
Burger Toppings
  • 1 lb ground beef Lean is preferred.
  • 1 cup pizza sauce Store brand recommended.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Pre-shredded is fine.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar recommended.
  • 1/2 cup pickles, diced For a tangy flavor.
  • 1/4 cup onions, chopped Fresh onions preferred.
  • 1 tbsp mustard Can be substituted with a fancy mustard.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Add more if you love garlic.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Use sea salt for a fancier touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough in a pie dish.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Add the garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper to the beef and mix well.
  5. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, then layer with cooked beef.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Add diced pickles and onions on top of the cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  2. Allow to cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

Using a Kitchenaid mixer can help roll out dough. Chill the dough before rolling for easier handling. For extra spice, add crushed red pepper flakes to the beef.
