  • 1 box box brownie mix Any brand, Ghirardelli is recommended
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with melted butter
  • 2 large eggs Free-range or cage-free recommended
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional but highly recommended
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans Optional; chop them well
  • to taste none powdered sugar For dusting, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
  3. If using, fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  6. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  7. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality baking sheets and allow cookies to cool properly to enhance texture. These cookies are versatile; feel free to add peanut butter chips or crushed candy bars.
