Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
Assembly and Baking
- Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan.
- Layer with cookie dough evenly over the brownie batter.
- Top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
Use a good spatula for spreading batter evenly. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing to prevent a gooey mess. Delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream on top.
