Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the pie crust according to package directions until golden brown. Let it cool.
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly until warm but not hot.
- Stir in the fresh strawberries, coating them in the glaze.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the cooled pie crust.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least two hours to set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap for up to 3-4 days; do not freeze.
